Fifteen miniature fitting rooms, from a single AI image
SASS found Piclaro through a ChatGPT conversation. They'd been running their store online and were opening their first physical location: a ground-floor concept store built around candy pink and deep burgundy. For the launch, they wanted fifteen PR packages sent out as invitations, and sent us a single AI-generated image of the idea.
The brief
There was no spec sheet, no CAD file, no dimensions, just a reference image: a tall, ribbed pink cabinet with an arched door, brass hardware, a backlit oval mirror, a burgundy pouf, and a hanger waiting inside. SASS wanted fifteen miniature replicas of it, each 20cm by 20cm and 30cm tall, small enough to sit on a desk, with a real hanger inside sized to hold the paper invitation to their launch event. Every unit had to match exactly, and the whole batch had to be ready before the store opened.
What Piclaro delivered
Beyond printing, our design team reverse-engineered the reference image into a fully buildable model, ran a free design and prototype pass to work out the proportions at desk scale, cut a genuine mirror to a custom size for the arched recess, and applied the leopard and zebra print fabric SASS supplied directly to the interior panels. Dedicated mounting guides kept the mirror recess identical across all fifteen units.
The outcome
All fifteen units matched, down to the mirror position and panel alignment, and shipped on schedule for the launch. Getting that consistency right cost roughly 3kg of material in test prints and calibration passes, a cost we absorbed rather than cut corners on. Each package went out with a small added gift, and every request from that first reference image made it into the final piece.
